Thiruverkadu Karumari Amman Temple


Thiruverkadu gives meaning of jungle. In this place a amman temple is constructed long back. This amman is very powerful goddess. The goddess head will be visible to the devotees. There will be permanent rush in the temple because the amman is very powerful. What a devotee prays it would be reflecting very soon. The devotee is coming back to this temple thanking the goddess Karumari. This is a very famous temple in Chennai. The story of the temple is one day Devikarumari took the image of an old lady, and went to the place of Sun forecast. But he simply neglected her. Immediately Devikarumari vanished Sun to lose its brightness to understand his mistake. Sun begged Devikarumari to forgive the past and forgive him.
