The oldest Hindu Temple

The Mundeshwari Devi Temple is the oldest temple in India. This is also known as Mundeswari temple. This temple is located at the place of Kaura in Kaimu district and the state of Bihar. This temple is constructed in the Mundeshwari hills. This oldest temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and Shakti. The functional of the temple is also very oldest. Flights are available from Delhi, Mumbai and Varanasi is the nearest airport. This temple built of stones and in the style of Nagaraja style of architecture in Bihar. In the temple, there are very small four doors available for the reception. 

The temple tower is destroyed, but the roofing has been built by the renovation workers. The interior walls are carved with vase and foliage designs. The main deity of the temple is Devi Mundewshwari. Two stones vessels of abnormal designs. There is four-faced Shiva linga is on the temple. On the walls of this temple rivers images Ganga, Yamuna is found. Plus many other murtis are found in this temple.
The speciality of this Devi Mundeswari temple is, rituals and worship been performed here without any break. Mundeswari here considered being the one of the ancient Hindus based temple. The pilgrims from India and a worldwide visit to this temple in large numbers, there will be more crowds in this temple during the Sri Ramanavami which is the birthday of Lord Rama. In the Shivarathri festival, all the local and outside devotees attend to this temple and contribute their prayers to the goddess Devi Mundeswari.
This Devi Mundeswari offers her blessings to the devotees as Shakti, of course, Shakti is the wife of Lord Shiva. Earlier days it is not very easy to visit this temple, because there are no roads and no steps to reach the temple. Later days, the government of India identified from the research this is the oldest temple and started spending money on the renovation of the temple and arranging assess facility for the devotees to reach to this temple and worship the Goddess Devi Mundeswari.
